Genesys Works launches plans for 10th Anniversary
November 8, 2011 - Genesys Works launches plans for April 18, 2012, 10th Anniversary Gala Changing the Track of Life Gala
At a breakfast with more than 300 community representatives, Genesys Works announced plans for its 2012 milestone celebration. The 10th Anniversary Gala Changing the Track of Life Gala, Genesys Works' first, gala evening event, will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Houston's Union Station. Attendance of 400 - 500 corporate and community leaders is expected to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Genesys Works. Charles and Denise Hazen will chair the event, El Paso Corporation will be honored for its history of involvement in the Genesys Works internship program, and Doug Foshee will be the keynote speaker.
Begun in Houston in 2002, Genesys Works now has sites in St. Paul/Minneapolis and Chicago, with plans for additional sites in the near future. Genesys Works changes the track of life for economically disadvantaged high school students to one where they will fully participate in the economic mainstream as professionals.
