We’re looking for someone who loves designing and delivering quality, scalable programming to join the National team as Associate Director of Program Strategy + Innovation (ADP) reporting to the Chief Strategy + Innovation Officer.

The ADP role is central to Genesys Works’ commitment to drive program effectiveness that ensures our Young Professionals are prepared for their internships; are supported and successful during their internships; and have the skills and confidence to thrive in college and in their careers. Additionally, the ADP will play a critical role in driving overall organizational success to position us for future growth, with an eye towards scalable innovations that will drive internship and career outcomes for our Young Professionals while creating value for corporate partners. This position will be responsible for working closely with site-based staff to design and develop quality student programming that drives short and long-term success metrics. Additionally, the ADP will be the resident expert and national program lead on our curriculum, methodology, systems, and processes to drive innovations and improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

In your first 3 months, you will…

  • Develop strong working relationships across the organization and quickly build trust and credibility with national and local staff
  • Become well-versed in the Genesys Works program model and 5-year strategic plan to deeply understand our desired impact with our Young Professionals and our Corporate Partners
  • Understand the full student lifecycle and all of the stakeholders involved, starting with recruitment in junior year through summer training, internship, the working alumni program, and beyond
  • Work cross-functionally with our Corporate Partnership team to understand the skills and qualities that are needed for our Young Professionals to thrive in their internships
  • Identify ways to infuse our program and curriculum with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, to ensure that we are empowering our students to develop the skills and mindsets to thrive in the corporate culture
  • Partner with the AD of Impact to begin to develop short and long-term research and evaluation needs to better assess and drive impact and innovation
  • Lead regular Program team meetings to drive two-way communication, provide support to local staff, surface opportunities for improvement and innovation, and enable best practice sharing among and between local sites and National


In your first 6 months, you will…


  • Assume ownership of all program quality, strategy, and innovation-related activities and projects, managing at least one full-time staff member
  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy + Innovation Officer to drive programmatic initiatives included in the strategic plan
  • Assess our current curriculum for opportunities to enhance and edit, collaborating with local program staff to design and test new elements, to better align our student training and support with the skills and competencies that are most in-demand with our corporate partners
  • Work collaboratively with operations, technology, and finance to ensure that all of our systems are driving programmatic efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work with People Operations to develop staff training programs for site-based program staff to drive ongoing staff development and effectively onboard new staff
  • Understand the full student lifecycle and identify opportunities for driving improvements, efficiencies, and innovation at every stage through redesigning processes, systems, training, or other elements

By the end of the first year you will:

  • Build trusting relationships with staff across all levels and geographies and establish yourself as the “go to” person for program strategy and innovation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with national and local program and corporate partnerships staff to drive measurable improvements in program quality and delivery
  • Work collaboratively with the People Ops team to ensure that all program staff are effectively on-boarded and receive ongoing training to deliver quality programming to our YPs
  • Partner with the AD of Impact to design, test, and measure program innovations that will allow Genesys Works to scale our programming and serve more YPs across the country
  • Develop and lead working groups to drive programmatic excellence, impact, and innovation aligned with the initiatives and priorities in the strategic plan
