Charkie is responsible for enhancing and developing the systems and processes that support the full lifecycle for all employees at Genesys Works, from recruiting and onboarding through learning & development, team culture, performance evaluation, and company policies, all through the lens of supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment. In her role, she will define, shape, and launch programs that attract and empower people to do their best work as the organization scales and grows.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, Charkie graduated from Trinity College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Educational Studies. While working at family centers in college, she discovered her passion for helping young adults achieve their personal and professional goals. She has 12+ years of non-profit experience fostering strategic relationships in both internal and external roles, such as fundraising, sales, and staff training. Charkie is the chair of the Committee on Trustees and Advisors for Chewonki Foundation, for which she has been a trustee sine 2009. She is also on the board of Rohan Levy Foundation, a local nonprofit whose mission is to combat gun violence in Brooklyn communities of color and low socioeconomic status.
