Mayah was born and raised in Pampa, a small Texas town. Now a Proud Houstonian, she spent many years working with youth in various settings. She was a Juvenile tracker assisting troubled youth with getting on track to education and success. She taught all ages about holistic health, caring for their physical and mental wellbeing at the Health Museum where over the last two years she has worked as a Science Educator, Floor Lead, Reservations Associate, and School Liaison while writing and implementing a variety of curriculum. Prior to that she worked as a Day Camp Instructor for Space Center Houston and was a therapist associate at an autism clinic. Mayah is currently completing her Masters of Social Work specializing in children and families. Mayah’s passion is in building student relationships and mentoring students through challenging situations. She is willing to go above and beyond to openly, respectfully, and kindly uplift the Genesys Works mission and the young professionals it strives to send out into the work force armed with professional skills ready for success.
