Genesys Works is thrilled to welcome Anslem Gardner to its growing team in Chicago. Gardner – a native of the Midwest – has a strong track record of supporting at-risk adolescents. His career in human services began shortly after graduating from Eastern Connecticut State University when he joined Youthtrack Colorado as a Program Director. While there, he and his team helped decrease recidivism of Colorado youths by 35% over three years.29 Dec 2017
Genesys Works is excited to announce it is working with Apple and the City of Chicago to bring coding opportunities to Chicago’s nearly 500,000 students through a citywide expansion of Apple’s Everyone Can Code program. The initiative in Chicago was designed in collaboration with the Office of the Mayor, Chicago Public Schools, local businesses and other nonprofits that focus on youth workforce development. Together, these organizations are working to expand opportunities for students to build the skills they need to pursue careers in the app and coding economy by becoming proficient in Swift, Apple’s easy-to-learn programming language.13 Dec 2017
