Setting the Foundation for Youth Financial Capability: A Conversation with Genesys Works

In July of 2017, Prosperity Now, in partnership with the Citi Foundation, launched a community of practice with five national youth workforce development organizations as part of the Citi Foundation’s Youth Financial Capability Fund (YFCF). The YFCF is part of the Citi Foundation’s Pathways to Progress initiative, which supports organizations that help empower urban youth, ages 16 to 24, by connecting them to opportunities that prepare them to compete in a 21st century economy.


Genesys Works New York City Selects Founding Partner Schools

Genesys Works New York is thrilled to announce our founding partner schools. These seven schools are all located in the borough of The Bronx, and they represent a cross-section of the 400+ public high schools that exist across New York City.



Event Recap: Supervisor Forum

Part of what makes Genesys Works special was on full display in our downtown Minneapolis office earlier this month. On November 7th, nearly 60 supervisors from companies across the metro joined Genesys Works staff members for the first-ever Genesys Works Supervisor Forum.


Genesys Works Receives $500,000 Grant from Salesforce.org to Support National Workforce Development Programs for High Schoolers

Genesys Works is announcing that Salesforce.org contributed $500,000 to the national nonprofit, which provides paid internships and job training to high school students from underserved communities. This grant will support program efforts at Genesys Works’ Bay Area location, as well as help to expand engagement efforts with program alumni for its sites across the country.


Genesys Works Names David Williams of Make-A-Wish America as New CEO

Genesys Works, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities, announced today that David Williams will join the organization as CEO starting January 1, 2019. In his new role, he looks forward to scaling the organization’s impact and helping more youth succeed on a path towards college and career success.
