Three corporate leaders join local chapter of National Non-Profit Organization

Houston, Texas (February 15, 2019) – Genesys Works Houston recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors. Adam Barth of McKinsey & Company, Jesse Carrillo of Hines and Elisabeth Nash of Service Corporation International (SCI) bring tremendous experience as business leaders and a demonstrated commitment to building a stronger, more diverse future workforce. With their addition to the board, Genesys Works Houston is better-positioned to scale impact and help more youth succeed on a path towards college and career success.

Adam Barth is a Partner within McKinsey’s electric power and natural gas practice, focusing his time on helping clients with transmission and distribution-capital productivity, growth strategy, and operations issues. He first came to know of Genesys Works through personal connections at other Genesys Works sites. The mission of connecting students with opportunities made an impression, leaving him wanting to make a difference locally.

Jesse Carrillo is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Hines, where he is responsible for directing all corporate technology, strategy and standards for Hines worldwide. As a strong supporter of youth in IT, working with Genesys Works was a natural fit for him. Hines has been donor and corporate partner since 2007, helping to connect young professionals in the Houston area with meaningful work experience.

Elisabeth Nash is Senior Vice President of Operations Services for SCI, where she is responsible for a variety of support functions, including information technology, supply chain, centralized operations and program management. While Elisabeth is a new member of the Houston Board of Directors, SCI has been a longtime supporter of Genesys Works as both a donor and corporate partner, mentoring an impressive 100 interns since 2007.

“The leadership and expertise Adam, Jesse and Elisabeth bring from their respective fields is invaluable,” said Katherine Taylor, Executive Director of Genesys Works Houston. “Having a board of directors made up of diverse professional backgrounds is an asset that undoubtedly makes us a stronger organization.”

The appointment of three new members increases the size of the Genesys Works Houston Board of Directors to 18, representing the accounting, banking, energy, engineering and healthcare industries.

“We are thrilled to welcome these three new board members,” said Ray Messer, Board Chair of Genesys Works Houston. “I am confident in the direction we are going with such an extraordinary group of individuals at the helm, working together towards the same vision.”
