The start of the school year marks an exciting milestone for the Genesys Works Class of 2026: the launch of their yearlong corporate internships. After a summer filled with professional skills training and career exploration, Young Professionals are now stepping into their roles at various companies across the Bay Area.
From marketing to IT support to cybersecurity, our students are joining teams where they can immediately apply what they’ve learned this summer while continuing to develop the confidence and adaptability they will need for college and future careers.
What value do Young Professionals bring to the workforce?
Genesys Works interns bring more than just potential – they are meaningful contributors to company operations. This month, companies such as Accenture, Cloudflare, PG&E, and more have welcomed Cohort 13 into roles that create tangible impact for their own business.
From day one, interns have been putting their skills to work as technologists, data analysts, security engineers, and more. They have been supporting workflow and team organization, helping companies leverage insights, and building technical solutions alongside industry professionals.
By bringing fresh perspectives, tech-savvy skills, and an eagerness to learn, our Young Professionals add value where it’s most needed. They help fill staffing gaps, bring energy and creativity to projects, and offer insights that reflect the voices of the next generation for workforce professionals. Employers and supervisors have consistent positive feedback on our interns – not only meeting expectations but often exceeding them. Their determination is coupled with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to bring their best effort each day.
While companies benefit from the talent and drive of Genesys Works interns, the impact on students is equally transformative. These internships expose them to real world corporate environments, connect them with professional mentors, and allow them to build networks that will serve them long after high school.
The Class of 2026 is learning first hand what it means to manage workplace responsibilities, collaborate as a team, and communicate effectively – skills that will prepare them for their rigorous senior year of high school, the next four years of college, and equip them for life.
The Genesys Works internship model is built on a mutual benefit: students gain access to meaningful career opportunities with life changing experiences while companies are able to strengthen their teams with motivated, fresh talent. Together, we’re creating pathways to economic mobility while helping businesses innovate and thrive.
We are so proud to see the Class of 2026 begin this journey. Over the next year, we’ll continue to share stories of their growth, the impact they’re making, and the ways they’re shaping the future of work.
