The Alumni Catch-Up: From Mission to Impact

March 28, 2022

Mia Pollard
Genesys Works Bay Area Alum Class of 2021

Where are you in your career journey?
I’m currently finishing my first year of college at UCLA, where I am pursuing a bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. GO BRUINS!!! I am also working as a Business Operations intern at Craft.co, a data management company, and seeking summer job and internship opportunities related to product design, hardware, or project management to obtain more experience in the engineering field.

Where do you see yourself professionally in three to five years?
I hope to earn my bachelor’s degree, apply to graduate school, have a full-time job, and become president of UCLA’s National Society of Black Engineers.

What is your ultimate career goal?
My ultimate career goal is to become an Electrical Project Manager at a tech company. In this role, I would support employees in managing their projects and assist the company in creating an inclusive environment for new ideas and innovations.

Thanks for catching up, Mia!
