Genesys Works Bay Area is delighted to share the advancement of two board members, Erin Baudo Felter and Paul Chapman, to the position of co-chairs within our Advisory Board.

Erin Baudo Felter is the Vice President of Social Impact & Sustainability at Okta, Inc. Paul Chapman is a Vice President at Cisco. Both have served on our board for two years and have been instrumental in guiding our programming through the COVID-19 pandemic. During their tenure, we have increased our core internship seats by 43%. We are excited to continue on this trajectory of growth under their leadership.

“The Bay Area is in the midst of a talent war, and our Young Professionals are trained and ready for this moment. There has never been a more important time for companies to think about the role they can play in building a more functional and equitable work environment,” said Chapman regarding his transition into the role. Baudo Felter added, “Genesys Works is the talent and equity pipeline that meets the needs of today while investing in our community’s future. We are excited to build upon the great foundation that Scott has established in his time as chair, and we are looking forward to continue expanding our talent solutions to more Bay Area youth and companies.”

Scott Kupor, a Managing Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, has served as our founding board chair since 2013. While he is stepping down from the chair’s seat, he will remain on our board and continue to play a key role in cultivating our growth throughout the Bay Area. Under his leadership, we have placed more than 600 young people into meaningful paid internships and guided them to over $6M in earnings during their time in Genesys Works. We are so grateful for his unwavering commitment to our young professionals and our program the past 9 years, and we are thrilled that he will continue this work in our community.
