Experienced Leader to Drive Growth and Expand Career Pathways for High School Seniors
San Franscisco, CA—April 14, 2025 – Genesys Works Bay Area (GWBA) announced today that Nada Perrone will serve as its new Executive Director. Perrone brings extensive experience in organizational leadership, fundraising, and partnership development in both the nonprofit and academic sectors.
“I’m honored to lead Genesys Works Bay Area as we advance our mission, scale our impact, and work alongside our partners to equip more students with the tools and experiences they need to thrive in college, career and beyond,” said Perrone. “Every young person deserves access to meaningful opportunities that lead to economic mobility and lifelong success.”
Perrone spent more than a decade in leadership roles at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, where she advanced from Director of Fundraising Strategy & Analytics to Deputy Chief of Philanthropy before becoming Chief Impact Officer in 2021. During her tenure, she helped strengthen the museum’s financial stability and expanded engagement through new programs.

“Nada’s Bay Area roots and her strong track record of partnering with community organizations will be key to expanding opportunities for students who would otherwise lack access to careers at top companies,” said Jeffrey Artis, President and CEO of Genesys Works. “Her experience will help deepen connections with local partners and create more pathways for our young people to succeed, while ensuring a broader talent pool for employers.”
Perrone’s commitment to community impact is reflected in her additional roles as an Advisory Board Member for the University of San Francisco Women in Leadership Program and a former board member of At the Crossroads, a nonprofit that provides long-term support to help unhoused youth build healthy and fulfilling lives.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from San Francisco State University, and a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University (GGU), an innovative collaborator of GWBA, and a Project Management Certificate. Perrone also completed a Health Policy Fellowship at the University of Southern California Los Angeles.
GWBA was launched in 2013 and served 200 high school students in 2023, connecting them to paid internships at companies including Accenture, Okta and Box. Upon completing the program, 92% of Genesys Works students enroll in college and are 2.5 times more likely than their peers to earn a bachelor’s degree within six years. Alumni earn a median income of $60,000/year and 68% outearn more than at least one parent.
