Funding to help nonprofit reach more young people with professional development training in the Bay Area, Chicago, and New York City.
Genesys Works, a national nonprofit providing pathways to postsecondary education and career success for high school students from underserved communities, announced today that it received a $250,000 grant from Salesforce. The funds will support the organization in expanding professional development opportunities that prepare more than 1500 youth in the Bay Area, Chicago, and New York City to enter the workforce and achieve upward mobility alongside strengthening national services.

We are honored that they continue to believe in our work.”
Genesys Works provides eight weeks of training in technical and professional skills for rising high school seniors, followed by a paid internship at major employers. Students also receive college and career coaching to prepare them for postsecondary success. 72 percent of Genesys Works participants are first-generation college students, and 91 percent are people of color.
