Genesys Works to be featured at Real Talk Drives Real Change in Washington, D.C.

Genesys Works National Capital Region is honored to be one of only a few community organizations in the region spotlighted during this year’s Real Talk Drives Real Change Tour presented by NewsOne fully charged by Chevrolet Tour

Chevrolet and NewsOne teamed up to create Real Talk Drives Real Change, a 4-part discussion series to spark relevant conversations within the Black community. The series includes live panel discussions on specific topics, live performances, and a community partners fair at each tour stop: Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Houston. 

The first stop on the tour is Washington, D.C., where panelists will discuss higher education, the ongoing debate between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominately White Institutions, and increased access for people of color. 

Genesys Works will host a booth at the community partners fair at the start of the event and invites members of the community and other organizations to learn more about how its expanding access to opportunity for high school students from underserved communities through skills training, post-secondary education support, mentorship, and paid internships.
