Throughout the month of May, our Young Professionals wrapped up their internships and reflected on all they’ve accomplished over the past year. During Intern Reflection Meetings, they shared the skills they developed, the personal growth they experienced, and the lessons they’ll carry forward from both their workplaces and their time with Genesys Works Bay Area. Many expressed heartfelt gratitude to the mentors who guided them along the way, while also highlighting the tangible impact they made on their host companies. These internships not only build critical technical and professional skills in our students but also allow Young Professionals to actively contribute to the growth and success of the organizations they serve. It is truly inspiring to see how these partnerships create a meaningful, two way impact: companies shape the futures of our students through mentorship and real-world experience, while Young Professionals bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and valuable contributions to the workplace.
The connections they have made through their internships will stay with them long into their careers, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the partners and mentors who make these relationships possible. Your guidance, support, and belief in our Young Professionals not only help them grow as individuals but also open doors to lifelong opportunities. The meaningful relationships cultivated this year will become lasting networks for our students that allow for continued mentorship and career development well beyond their time with Genesys Works.

Now, as summer comes to a close, Cohort 12 is preparing for the next chapter as alumni of GWBA, where we will continue to support them through our Alumni Program.
