Krystal Stackhouse
Director of Programs
Krystal comes to Genesys Works – National Capital Region after working with Genesys Works – Twin Cities for 5 years. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College, she knew she wanted to create social change by providing disadvantaged youth with opportunities to build their social capital. After graduation, she served two years as an AmeriCorps member with College Possible at Patrick Henry High School. There, she assisted 40 low income and promising students with the college application process resulting in 95 percent of them gaining acceptance to college and winning community scholarship dollars totaling $150,000. At Genesys Works Twin Cities, she served as a program coordinator working directly with students for 3 years helping students develop real world skills to be successful in a paid corporate internship. Because of her affinity for working with school partners, she was promoted to manage the student recruitment and selection process to improve the awareness of Genesys Works amongst students and school staff members.
