Dear Friends and Supporters,

The work we do empowers young people to reach their fullest potential. We empower communities to build a stronger, more diverse workforce. We are opening doors of opportunity. We believe the impossible and eliminate the improbable.

The journey we’ve taken to get to where we are and the plans we have for a brighter future excite me. With that, I am thrilled to announce a new member of my team. Last month, Caitlin MacDonald joined Genesys Works as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. In her new role, Caitlin will focus on the long-term future of Genesys Works, as well as investing in our most valuable resource – our people.

Caitlin began her career as a public school teacher at a vocational high school in Maine. In the classroom, she developed a strong passion for helping young people connect to meaningful careers and higher education. Caitlin spent over a decade in a variety of leadership roles at Year Up. With over 15 years of experience in workforce development and education – most recently managing the Hiring Committee Training Team at Google where she ensured that the company’s hiring practices are inclusive – Caitlin comes to Genesys Works with a deep understanding of building diverse teams. Her expertise in strategy and innovation will drive the growth, impact, and culture of Genesys Works and create broader opportunity for youth across the country.

Many aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources, and purpose. Genesys Works has proven that it has all three in abundance. And with Caitlin on board, we will achieve higher levels of scale and impact in communities across the nation. As CEO, I cannot ask for a better foundation.

When inspired by purpose, we can transcend limitations and open endless doors. Let’s build on this foundation together.

With gratitude,

David Williams
President & Chief Executive Officer, Genesys Works
